Great festival news: 9 Days – From My Window in Aleppo continues its international tour in 2016. After its launch 9 Days had successful screenings at DOK festival in Leipzig and at Winterthur Kurzfilmtage where it was the press opening film. Now the documentary is selected for the International Film Festival Rotterdam and the International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

9 Days is part of the international programme at IFFR, which will take place between January 27th and February 7th. In the following week, 9 Days will also be screened in France where it is selected for the International Competition at the International Short Film Festival in Clermont-Ferrand, taking place between February 5th and February 13th.

The film Issa Touma  shot from his apartment window documents the beginning of the uprising in Aleppo. It shows the dynamics of the revolution: young rebel fighters entered the streets one morning, gradually giving way to more heavily armed religiously inspired combatants. 9 Days was edited by Floor van der Meulen and Thomas Vroege. The film is co-produced with DeepFocus WebDocs.
