On Saturday 12 November at 3 PM, Émeric Lhuisset will give a private tour through the exhibition Last Water War – Ruins of a Future at Institut de monde arabe, Paris. You can register now for this exclusive tour.
With the project referencing the archaeological site of Girsu (now southern Iraq), Lhuisset questions the future of the land between the Tigris and Euphrates that is suffering from drought. It may become subject to another war on water, 44 (!) centuries after the first (and only) one so far. The exhibition is spread out on different floors of the IMA, interacting with the permanent collection on Mesopotamia.
