Three new Studio Aleppo pop-up photo studios are emerging in Europe this summer. After a succesful start of Studio Aleppo [Amsterdam] last year, Helsinki, The Hague and Berlin will grab the baton.

Photographer Juuso Westerlund (FI) will portrait old and new residents of Helsinki. All portraits will be shot on 5 and 6 August and exhibited from 10 – 17 August in the National Museum of Finland accompanied by a collection of negatives from a photo studio in Aleppo. These remains, found by Issa Touma, formed the starting point of Studio Aleppo. In September, Humanity House The Hague sets up a photo studio for Robin de Puy, Dutch Homeland Photographer of 2017. She will photograph locals and newcomers from The Hague. Society for Humanistic Photography (GfHF) will organize the travelling project at KühlhausBerlin in October.
